Welcome to the Bridge School Website!

Welcome to the homepage for Bridge Elementary School, located in the historic town of Lexington, Massachusetts.  Bridge is a K-5 school with an approximate student population of 500 students.  Our school has a reputation for strong parental support and having a welcoming, inclusive environment.

We hope that you find our school website a comprehensive place to find information about the school and about Lexington Public Schools.  Our goal is to maintain our site so that news, information, and events are up to date and help keep the Bridge School community informed.

Please be sure to check our site often and let us know how we can improve it.  Communication is a large part of the work we do!

  • Summer: Love it & Learn it!

Wednesday night the Summer Learning/Title 1 Night was held at Fiske.  The Summer Learning website was introduced at this meeting.  This website, geared toward current K, Grade 1 and Grade 2 students and their families, has many activities, field trip suggestions, books lists, and games for families to use to extend learning over the summer.  I'm hoping you will post it on your school website for easy access for parents and students during the summer.  Click here to follow the link to the district website.

  • Yes Program Rocket Launch

The Youth Explorations in Science program will be holding its rocket shoot
at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, May 29th, for the children in both the fall and
spring sessions of the YES program.  We would like to invite parents,
friends, and family who would like to attend the rocket launch, to join us
that day. Anyone who would like to attend can meet us on the Bridge School
playground at 3:30 pm on the 29th.  If your child was in either session of
the program, please have them meet me in the cafeteria right after
dismissal and we will join the parents on the playground.  The rocket shoot
will take approximately one hour.  Also, if there are any parents that
would like to help me with the shoot, I would definitely welcome a few
volunteers. I appreciate it. The kids did a great job on their rockets and
we hope to see you there!

  • METCO Family Friends Needed

The METCO Program is a very important part of the Bridge School. Part of making this experience positive for the students, is pairing them up with host families in Lexington. The commitment includes hosting the child, one time a month, during a Thursday afternoon from dismissal until 3:15 pm. We are still looking to place 4 first grade students and 1 second grade student. Please let Maggie McGeachie, maggie.mcgeachie@gmail.com, know if you are interested.
